Kansas City A Missouri man ruined his Fourth of July celebration by setting off his stash of fireworks prematurely. In an effort to conceal his firecrackers and bottle rockets from his teenage sons, he hid the arsenal in his kitchen oven. For some reason or other the oven was turned on and a massive explosion followed, destroying the kitchen and blowing a hole out the back side of the house. Friends visiting for the man's holiday barbecue were astonished and remarked that it was one of the best fireworks displays they had ever witnessed. The man's wife is threatening divorce. Fire department investigators put the monetary amount of the damage at over $20,000. (UPFSI)
